I first started taking classes at the Custer County Art Museum over 10 years ago. I started with stained glass and after the first session I bought what I needed to do it at home.
I also kept taking classes and could hear all the potters in the other room and decided I wanted to try that too. After my first class in wheel throwing I have tried to keep at it regularly, if not only for the camaraderie of the other throwers.
It is one of the few handmade gifts you can give some and they don’t look at you like you gave them a pile of poo.
