Afton ray-rossol
I love to make art and always have. If I'm not making with my hands then my mind is usually at work.
As an outdoors woman, wildlife and country scenes take over my imagination. I daydream about new works as I trek along on my adventures. My spirit guides my brush as lively and colorful paintings emerge and reflect the joyful beauty and thrill of the outdoors. High contrast and saturated colors are my indulgence.
Although I do use other mediums, watercolor is my preference. I enjoy how spontaneous I can be with it. Being able to use something as natural as water to paint with really appeals to this nature lover.
Education
Private art instruction through "Rising Star Studio" throughout grade school, advanced art classes, Sidney schools. Specialty art workshops, Dawson Community College art scholarship.
Influences
My father Gary Ray, talented graphite artist. My mother Joette Deg owned a gift store "The Country Cottage" great with decor & fashion.
How and where did you get started
As a child doodling on napkins at the coffee shop.
